Privacy Policy — Leela: The Game of Life

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application “Leela: The Game of Life” handles information. The App is a tool for self-reflection based on the classic Indian game of Leela. We designed it to collect as little data as possible.

1. Information we do NOT collect

• We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
• We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location.
• Your questions, reflections, journal entries, and game sessions are stored only on your device. They never leave your phone and we cannot read them.

2. Information processed to provide purchases

The App offers an optional premium subscription. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, Inc. as our subscription-management provider. To validate and restore purchases, the following is processed:

• A random anonymous identifier generated by RevenueCat (not linked to your real identity).
• Purchase/transaction information (which product was bought, purchase and renewal status).
• Basic device and app information (device model, OS version, app version, country/region) used for receipt validation and fraud prevention.

We do not receive your credit-card number or Apple ID password — those are handled solely by Apple.

3. Notifications

If you enable reflection reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No reminder content is sent to us or any server.

4. How information is used

The limited data above is used only to deliver and restore your subscription, protect against fraudulent purchases, and keep the App functioning. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not build advertising profiles.

5. Data retention

Local content (journal, sessions) stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data tied to your identity, there is normally nothing for us to delete on our side. You can remove all local data at any time by deleting the App.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.

1. The App

The App is a meditative tool for self-reflection inspired by the classic Indian game of Leela. Its content is provided for personal reflection and entertainment.

2. Not professional advice

The App is not medical, psychological, therapeutic, or financial advice and is not a substitute for professional help. If you are going through a difficult time, please reach out to a qualified professional.

3. Subscriptions and payment

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions at any time.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited on purchase, and the trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
• Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region.

4. Restoring purchases

You can restore an active subscription on a new device using “Restore purchases” in the App.

5. Intellectual property

All original text, design, and artwork in the App are owned by the developer. The Leela game concept is traditional cultural heritage; our specific interpretations and content are original works.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or use it in violation of applicable law.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
